The weatherstations are becoming popular and the number are increasing rapidly.
Weatherstations are presented in the chartarea with a wind- vector showing the wind-direction and also the average wind speed in knots.

When the cursor is placed on the weatherstation winddata will be presented as in the picture to the left.

The standard for the weatherstations allows for more data if available:

ADVETO was the first company in the world to market
AIS presentation.
It was done already 1993 and the first customer was the Swedish
maritime administration buying around 10 test licenses.
They used it for the standardisation of AIS and the later
international mandatory AIS rules.

Today ADVETO´s full AIS-presentation is fully typeapproved and
included into ECDIS-4000. Beyond the ECDIS standard there are
many extra AIS functions also included.
We have the full AIS presentation in all the three versions of
ECDIS-4000 and there is no extra module that needs to be
invested in.
